STAMPING OUT ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR |

SAY NO TO ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
We understand the frustration around ongoing reports of anti-social behaviour in our communities, particularly involving groups of young people.
We want to reassure you that these concerns are taken seriously. However, there are times when you may not see officers in the exact location where incidents are happening. This is often because our teams are responding to multiple calls across the area, prioritising those where there is an immediate risk of harm.
Identifying those responsible can also be challenging. Individuals involved in ASB frequently wear face coverings or masks, making it difficult to confirm identities and take enforcement action.
We’re also aware of concerns around young people using e-scooters and bikes. While it may seem like a straightforward solution to pursue them, doing so can present significant safety risks to the individuals involved, our officers, and members of the public. For this reason, we must carefully assess each situation and avoid tactics that could result in serious injury.
We continue to carry out patrols, gather intelligence, and work with partners and local communities to address these issues in a safe and proportionate way.
You can help by continuing to report incidents, providing as much detail as possible, including descriptions, times, and any available footage.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
